The Common Grant Application is designed
to streamline the grantwriting process and encourage
dialogue between funders and nonprofit organizations. The
CGA underwent a significant revision in 2008, and more than
90
funders now accept the Revised CGA (downloadable below). For
more information on the Revised CGA, click

The Common Grant Report was developed to 1) strengthen and
streamline the grant reporting process by using a uniform
language and format, 2) improve the quality of nonprofit
programs and services and their impact through thoughtful
on-going evaluation, and 3) encourage greater communication
between grant seekers and grant makers. It underwent a
substantial revision, and was launched in August 2009.
