Leadership Program

In order to create a rich learning environment and dynamic group interaction, CRC seeks candidates with diverse cultural backgrounds and talents, and limits the number of participants to 30 each year. The program consists of a series of training components, four two-day sessions held in Denver, a four-day teambuilding experience in Breckenridge, the option to attend additional CRC classes, and an extraordinary opportunity to work closely with a professional executive coach.

Leadership Program Coaching Component

The ability to cultivate a meaningful coaching relationship is an essential leadership skill. Each program participant has the option to develop a working partnership with an experienced professional coach. Our ten carefully selected executive coaches are an important source of both personal and professional support. The coach assists the leader to define clear goals, develop realistic action-plans, and provides on-going guidance to implement these plans.

Outdoor Team-building Retreat

The four-day wilderness retreat is the point at which personal awareness, professional confidence, and career priority setting take place. This rewarding adventure is suitable for EVERYONE regardless of age, previous outdoor experience, athletic ability, or physical condition. All activities are "challenge by choice" and highlight individual leadership, problem-solving, and teambuilding styles. This unforgettable experience is held in a comfortable lodge at the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center. The Outdoor Retreat is experiential learning and teamwork at their best!

"If you want to make a significant difference in both your organization and your community, and you are looking for just the right tools, then there is only one place to go - CRC's Colorado Nonprofit Leadership and Management Program!" -- Allison Hake, Graduate

"My coach was a highlight of the program for me. She was an exceptional source of useful information and encouraged me to view our organization's challenges from advantageous perspectives."
-- Fran Bauer, Executive Director, Nederland Area Seniors, Inc

"Because I grew up climbing Colorado's peaks and crags, I thought the outdoor teambuilding experience would have little to offer me. I was wrong! I learned that with strong peer support, anyone can overcome their fears and challenges." -
- Bob Ridgeway, past Executive Director, Providers' Resource Clearinghouse

"Through CRC's Leadership Program I learned creative ways to better serve our board of directors, our staff, our students, and our community. They are the ones benefiting most from my CRC experience."
