Capacity Coaching Initiative

What is a Coach?

Coaching helps you build a roadmap so that you can figure out:

  • where you are,
  • where you want to go,
  • and how you are going to get there.

Coaching provides you with a unique opportunity for personal growth. With a focus on forward movement, the coach helps you recalibrate your goals, set clear intentions and make the best choices to attain your dreams.

The Difference Between a Coach and a...

Therapist…Therapy processes the past to heal emotional wounds. Coaching is focused on the future.

Consultant… Consultants provide a range of options for work issues. Coaches ask questions to help you work toward your own life-enhancing goals.

Mentor… Mentors guide us with advice or by modeling behavior. A coach gives us structure and accountability to move forward.

Business/Personal Partners… Partners have a financial, material or managerial investment in the relationship. The coach does not have any of these interests.

Friend/Family … A coach offers objectivity so you will not have to be concerned about affecting an important relationship.
