Inclusiveness Initiative
The Community Resource Center and The
Denver Foundation are pleased to announce our continued
commitment to supporting the diversity and inclusiveness
efforts of Denver’s nonprofit sector.
Since its inception, The Denver Foundation’s
Expanding Nonprofit Inclusiveness Initiative (ENII) has
been a guiding force for nonprofits looking to enhance their
effectiveness by becoming more inclusive of people of color.
To date, ENII has:
- Completed a research report outlining
best practices and barriers to becoming an inclusive
nonprofit
- Published
Inclusiveness at Work, a hands-on workbook designed
to help nonprofits become more inclusive of people of
color
- Produced the sold-out
Diversity and Beyond conference
in collaboration with CRC
- Provided grants to 12 Metro Denver
nonprofits to support their internal inclusiveness processes
- Presented information about best practices
and barriers to inclusiveness to over 1,700 nonprofit
staff and board members
- Engaged local leaders through its Steering
Committee and focus groups
The Denver Foundation plans to continue
to serve as an essential resource to the sector by investing
in programs and services designed to educate, engage, and
support nonprofits in the work of becoming more inclusive,
and is excited to be working with CRC to expand its outreach.
Look for more to come from The Denver Foundation
and CRC.
